History of coronavirus
The coronaviruses were first detected in the 1960s, which affected the nasal cavity of 2 persons suffering from the common cold. After that, there have been many cases critical and non-critical cases of these viruses. For instance, there were 774 deaths due to the breakout of Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS). 858 people were reported to have died because of MERS (Middle East Respiratory Syndrome) in the year 2012. The countries that were mainly affected by MERS were Saudi Arabia, Middle Eastern Countries, Africa, Europe, and Asia. In 2014, two American people were admitted to the hospital because of MERS. In the early days of January 2020, the WHO detected and reported a new type of coronavirus known as the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV). China is the known country of origin for this virus and more than 1000 people are reportedly suffering from it. According to the reports, the death count in China is currently 82, which is continuously rising. This is why all the countries are taking measures to prevent 2019-nCoV from spreading.
